Today, SCALO's full brother SOUND CHECK geared up for the €55,000 G3 Grosser Preis von Lotto-Hamburg over 2000 m under top-weight, and the five-year-old certainly did nothing wrong under champion jockey Andrasch Starke. Racing in the back of the pack for most of the race, the colt took off really well in the final stretch and came close to the leader and runner-up, which considering the weight disadvantage was a solid performance against two proven group winners.
