Even the challenge of the next higher handicap level could not stop Haus Ittlingen’s Adlerflug-daughter Fifth Avenue, although it was a bit tighter this time around. It was precision work by Michael Cadeddu when he guided the filly to a victory by a short head in a thrilling 4-horse-finish over 1,750 m in a level 2 handicap on the beautiful turf of Bad Doberan. It was the third victory in a row for this pair, jumping up three performance classes in the process.
