There was no match for both Effevi-horses in this year’s Premio di Milano, a €192,500 group 2 race run over 2,400 meters. Lengths behind the winner Dylan Mouth, who lost last year’s Premio Jockey Club (Gr. 1) to our wonderful Lovelyn, our Samum son Novano, cut a good figure though. Finishing third, he managed a jump into a higher class with this performance that should not be underestimated.
Robert Havlin was aboard the four-year-old, who was prepared for us by Waldemar Hickst in Cologne. Our second runner in this race, the Peter Schiergen-trained Lovato, suffered from a bad break and was never able to make up for the lost ground on a heavy going. |
