| Eight aspirants for the German Derby met in Baden-Baden today over 2000 m in the G3 Derby-Trial to determine yet another hot tip for this year's turf highlight, and as a result Ittlingen-bred ACCON has now moved into the circle of favorites. The Camelot-son ran a formidable race under Jiri Palik, who gave the colt a perfect ground-saving trip along the inner rails from where the pair easily drew clear to record an uncontested win by one and three quarter lengths.
