Following his superior Listed win at Baden-Baden, LOFT had to make the jump to group level in the 137th running of the German St. Leger today, which the three-year-old mastered brilliantly. The Marcel Weiß-trained Adlerflug son had Marco Casamento in the saddle for a very strong run in the €52,000 G3 contest over 2800 meters where he settled close to the lead from the start and showed plenty of speed in the final straight. Seven lengths ahead of the rest of the field, LOFT finished an excellent second behind a confident winner, confirming his continuous upward trend that has accompanied him all through this season.
