Ittlingen-bred LOBELIE took on the boys today in the €52,000 BBAG Auction Race at Baden-Baden and the Adlerflug filly out of our Monsun mare LOVE MORE met Tünnes, of all horses, the Derby favorite and half-brother of the Arc winner Torquator Tasso. The latter was expectedly superior in the 2400 m contest, but LOBELIE performed extremely well under Martin Seidl and took an excellent second place.
Waldemar Hickst prepares the three-year-old for Albert Woeste's Stall Grafenberg, who was able to purchase LOBELIE as a yearling at the BBAG Yearling Sale ... one more reason to take a look at the lot on offer at the upcoming auction sale in two days!
